The Royal MacKintosh Hotel is a traditionally built sandstone property. The property has been extended at various periods and is now presented in excellent walk in condition by the current vendor.
The Royal MacKintosh benefits from having 16 en suite letting rooms.
On entering you are welcomed by a traditionally presented reception, to the right of the entrance you will find the Mauretania Restaurant. The restaurant is named after the ship and is decorated with the original oak panelling from the vessel. The restaurant can accommodate 36 persons and is well furnished with traditional wooden chairs and tables. To the left you will find the lounge bar.
GLM comment: "We don’t know this building but it looks like a tidy operation. The roof is complicated and from Streetview there is some weathered stonework. It’s always worth checking whether the main fabric and services of a building like this have been as well cared for as the guests seem to have been." - DG
